Shooting at the Ranch

Several years ago, I worked as the IT/Marketing/Web guy for a fencing company in Aubrey, TX called 440 Fence, Inc. – a division of 440 Ranch (yes, I officed from the ranch – horses and all). The company manufactured and sold a patented fence system for ranches, farms and large residential properties.

My job there was very diverse, which was great for me, since I tend to get bored and unhappy doing any one thing for too long. My duties ranged from maintaining the company’s computers, servers, e-mail and to creating all marketing materials from the website to the full-page magazine ads to the DVD installation video.

Along with the ability to take a break and go pet some horses anytime I wanted, I loved how much photography that was involved with my daily job.

Whether I needed product shots (did I mention they tried their hand at saddle-making with 440 Saddles?) or landscape shots, there was always some on the ranch I was shooting.
